About me
I’ve been an artist for as long as I remember. Before I jumped into marketing years ago, I was getting my hands dirty with pigments, powders, wood and canvas. I never gave that up - even today I still enjoy experimenting with oil paints, acrylics and anything else I can get my hands on! The biggest joy for me is discovering new and different materials with which to create. Studio practice is a vital resource that helps me freshen my mind, think outside-the-box, and find new and inspiring moments I can share with others.
When I'm not working or painting, I browse through my ever-growing collection of stationery, art and design magazines, and read up on the latest science and astronomy news with my companions, Finn the Maine Coon, and Marci, my beloved house cat (gremlin).
Outside of the house and studio, you can find me at the Humane Society where I volunteer each week, or hiking along the gorgeous trails in beautiful Bay Area.

What I Do
-
I work closely with clients to establish the desired look of the product, including selecting materials, prepare files according to media type, and coordinate with outside vendors to finalize and oversee production deadlines. I have worked with clients to manage the launch of successful projects that meet both the client’s vision and industry standards.
-
Materials sourcing is a hugely important stage in product development. I’ve helped clients consider the quality, appearance and material compatibility for printed and manufactured pieces, with emphasis on eco-friendly and sustainable practices that fit within the client’s budget. For every client’s project, I carefully examine the availability and lead times, as well material durability for the wear and tear of each piece.
-
Professional communication and project management are key to ensuring the successful delivery of a finished project. When working with outside vendors, I carefully examine the project timeline and vendor specifications for each step in the supply chain. In most cases, I help clients devise a product timeline map to ensure all components arrive in a timely fashion and of intended quality.
-
Knowing how to create professional vector art can enhance any design project by allowing for scalability and resolution independence. Over the course of my career, I’ve mastered pixel-perfect and seamless vector work to give clients the quality they need for modern design - from logos, infographics and presentations to large-scale print media and collaborative team projects.
-
Much of my professional history includes collaborating with media representatives on tight deadlines and specifications for all kinds of advertising opportunities. With advanced knowledge of different layout systems, composition and template creation, I’ve been able to deliver timely creative solutions for clients’ advertising needs across industries.
-
Digital asset management is important for any business with online representation. Proper content management requires an organizational mindset. Over the years I’ve developed an adaptable approach working with different CMS platforms, allowing for quicker turnaround times, greater collaboration between departments and more effective use of resources.
-
E-commerce merchandising requires strong analytical skills, strategic thinking, attention to detail and creativity. I’ve been a part of teams tracking sales data, monitoring digital trends, pricing products, creating promotions and optimizing website layouts for greater accessibility. With my experience establishing online marketplaces for direct-to-consumer retail, I’ve helped small business clients increase revenue, improve their user experience and boost customer loyalty.
-
Some companies need a modest review of their company’s mission, values and commitment to their customers, while others may need a complete reboot, or yet - simply need to get started. I’ve assisted small and mid-size businesses with complete brand audits, style guides, logos and more, backed by consumer data and industry trends. Whatever the needs, I can help with concept design and initial mood boards through to final brand positioning and collateral in preparation for full marketing campaigns.
-
Part of being a professional designer involves awareness of emerging aesthetics and visual styles. It’s essential for designers to research trends in order to remain appealing to audiences and avoid outdated or overused imagery. Before starting any project, I spend my own time refreshing my knowledge of industry trends, which helps inform my design decisions when creating work for clients - which in turn establishes a deeper connection with their audience and sets them apart from competitors.
