Vintage Panther Wine Label
About This Project: I had the pleasure of working with a design team to create a wine label for a seasonal production of wine bottles by a historic high school in Sonoma County. The school's agricultural program produces wine every year and sells it to raise funds for the department. There were several requirements to meet, such as displaying the type of wine alongside health information, portray an image of the front of the school building and lastly provide a traditional, historic overall feel.
Our goal was to create a label that looked like a vintage wine and that showcased the school's heritage and values. We chose a classic visual style with a grayscale photo of the school in the center, uncovered from the school archives, and surrounded by a Greco style wood-cut grape pattern that I illustrated. We also added some touches of orange and peach to contrast with the black background and to represent the school's colors and mascot. The result was a wine label that conveyed reverence, quality and tradition, while also supporting a worthy cause.
